The Korea Electro-Acoustic Music Society (KEAMS) announces a call for proposals for the 2017 KEAMS Annual Conference (KEAMSAC 2017) and its journal Emille.
We are delighted to invite Miller Puckette as this year’s keynote speaker.
KEAMSAC was formed to promote active research and discussion on electro-acoustic music, and this year's conference will be held in Oct. 24-25 at Asian Cultural Center in Gwangju, Korea. This event will go with the Seoul International Computer Music Festival 2017(SICMF 2017: http://www.computermusic.asia/).
Selected papers from the conference will be published in Emille Vol. 15.
If you want your paper or workshop to be considered for the 2017 KEAMS Conference, please send an abstract or proposal (maximum of 2,000-characters including spaces) and curriculum vitae as PDF documents to emille[at]keams.org.

Session Formats
1. Each session will consist of up to four presentations.
2. Each paper will be presented in person for about 25 minutes followed by ca. 5 minutes of discussion.
3. If you want to give a keynote presentation, you will be given about 50 minutes to present, followed by ca. 10 minutes of discussion.
4. Please include the word keynote in your submission if you are planning on applying for a keynote presentation.
5. The length of each workshop will be from 90 minutes to 6 hours.
6. Video conferencing over the Internet is also available.
As demonstrated by the following examples, participants may submit more than two proposals, making a whole presentation session or an additional workshop session:

You also may submit multiple proposals for individual workshops without a session plan.
Fees and Accommodation
Thanks to the financial support of the Art Council Korea, the registration and publication fee will be waived, and accommodation also will be provided for two nights.
It is also possible for students and non-experts in the fields mentioned above to submit proposals for the conference and the journal, Emille.
All proposals will be screened by the program committee and selected solely based on the quality of the research and topic.
We are welcome any ideas for electro-acoustic music research from you, and believe them to be precious assets for the conference and the journal.

Session 구성

2. 각 발표자에게 주어지는 연구물 발표 시간은 약 25분이며 약 5분간 질의 문답 시간이 뒤따릅니다.
3. Keynote 발표자에게는 약 50분의 발표 시간과 약 10분간의 질의 문답 시간이 주어집니다.
4. Keynote 발표를 원하시는 분들은 계획안을 제출할 때 keynote를 희망한다고 명시하십시오.
5. Workshop 시간은 90분부터 6시간까지 가능합니다.
6. 인터넷 화상 채팅을 이용한 발표도 가능합니다.
다음의 예에서 제시된 바와 같이 두 개 이상의 원고 계획안들을 묶어 하나의 session에 대한 제안서를 제출하거나, 별도의 workshop sesson 제안서를 제출하는 것도 가능합니다:

비용 및 숙박
한국문화예술위원회(ARKO)의 재정 지원에 힘입어 이 행사에는 참가비와 논문 게재료가 없으며 이틀간의 숙박이 제공됩니다.
연구물의 내용에 따라 학생과 비전공자에게도 학술대회 참가 및 논문 게재의 기회가 주어집니다.
제출된 모든 제안서는 학술지 조직 위원회에 의해 면밀히 평가되며, 오로지 연구 내용의 우수성에 의해서만 채택됩니다.

The Korea Electro-Acoustic Music Society (KEAMS) announces a call for proposals for the 2017 KEAMS Annual Conference (KEAMSAC 2017) and its journal Emille.

Session Formats
